‘Progressive Jazz at its best’
-AberJazz
It is a pleasure to welcome Duski back to The Lost ARC for their Pillowtalk Tour 2023. In this tour the band strips back to a trio to explore new music and moods written in a forever changing world.
Expect new music, features from ‘Make a Wish’ and excerpts from ‘Pillow Talk Sessions vol. 1′
Duski are: Aidan Thorne – Basses
Greg Sterland – Sax/Electronics
Matt Holmes – Drums/Percussion
‘The years have seen changes to the contributors to the sound of Duski, and this formation reveals the melodic voice beating at the heart of it’
– Dave Sumner, Bandcamp
‘If you are looking for something unconventional to listen to, this is for you.’
– Platinum mind, blog
Duski melt jazz tones into dark minimalist prog, creating soundscapes worthy of a David Lynch film. It’s no surprise, then, that Twin Peaks is a big influence on the group, along with Miles Davis and David Bowie, and they’re sure to transport us to magical, mysterious worlds.
Support from Holly Blackshaw
Rooted in the folk revival of the 1960’s, Holly Blackshaw is the gentle passage between then and now, playing old as time and self-penned songs through lilting vocals and an old guitar.
“With a voice that comes around, at best, once in a generation, Holly Blackshaw is a crucible of sounds of both folk and psychedelia. She manages to produce music that breaks and follows tradition”
