Nick Jonah Davis is a British solo instrumental guitarist and composer drawing primarily on British and American folk traditions. His most recent full-length release, ‘When the Sun Came’, was featured as one of 12 ‘Best of British’ guitar records in Guitarist Magazine, with a 5-page feature on Nick in the same edition. It was also one of Folk Radio’s ‘Best Albums of 2020’.
Radio plays have included Cerys Matthews (BBC 6 Music), Radcliffe and Maconie (BBC 6 Music), Gideon Coe (BBC6 Music), the Late Junction (BBC Radio 3) and New York’s WFMU.
Tours in the UK, Europe and USA have included performances at the New York Guitar Festival, Sin Eater Festival and Supersonic. Nick has shared stages with luminaries from both the solo guitar and folk worlds, including Gwenifer Raymond, Alasdair Roberts, William Tyler, Jeff Warner, and Toby Hay. He has featured on recordings by Sharron Kraus, Jim Ghedi, C Joynes, Dan McLachlan and many others. Nick has also produced records by C Joynes, Jacken Elswyth and Elizabeth Still.
