We chose the latter! So we bring you our Friday Night Social! Top quality live music from the brilliant BC All Skas who have had The Lost ARC moving in the past with their old skool ska and reggae tunes, plus DJ sets from Les Earthdoctor and Lenny Len who have loads of Funk, Soul, Afro, Reggae, Dub and more to keep your feet moving! We'll have the usual full bar and good company so come down and join us to catch up with friends after Christmas and New Year and shake a leg to dance off the winter blues! Only £3 on the door, and FREE if you held a ticket for the postponed Pama International show. 8:30 pm: 13/04/2019 - Pama International.11th January 2019 – Pama International bring their Soul Revue live to The Lost ARC on Saturday 14th January 2019! Following up on their critically acclaimed **** Mojo album Love & Austerity and hugely successful Trojan Records songbook tour, Pama Int’l return with their much touted soul album – “The Altruistic Soul sounds of…” and UK tour. Since their formation in 2001 Pama Int’l have released 10 studio albums and recorded 4 BBC Radio One Maida Vale sessions. In 2006 they became the first new band to sign to Trojan Records in 30 years. The collective nature of the band has seen them work with; Billy Bragg, Ken Boothe, Rico, Derrick Morgan, Dawn Penn, Dave & Ansel Collins, Dennis Alcapone, Wrongtom, Michie One and Mad Professor, whilst their line up has included members from The Specials, Madness, Galliano, Steel Pulse, Kasabian, Lee Perry’s Upsetters and the Style Council. Not content to keep his songs just to the world of music, you can find Pama Intl’s songwriter/founder’s songs featured on over a dozen films (including Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels and A Fool’s Gold) and countless television shows. And now… Pulling on his love of Northern, British and Southern Soul, it boasts influences from Al Green to Joe Cocker, Betty Swann to Aretha Franklin, Duane Allman to Booker T & The MGs, but in true Pama Int’l fashion sounds uniquely them. |
