THERE IS STILL SPACE TO ATTEND BY BUYING ON THE DOOR. \n\n\n\nWith their high energy approach to traditional American songs and dance music\, Interstate Express combines a love of old stories with a passion for the joy of a fiddle tune that drives like a Mercedes on the open road. \n\n\n\nThe music that developed in America is as diverse as the people who brought it there\, from fast banjo and fiddle tunes and early country songs to blues and ballads\, this trio plays it all and are as comfortable on a festival stage as a sweaty bar. \n\n\n\nThe band was formed on a long drive from Tennessee to New Orleans and is the newest project of fiddler and singer Craig Judelman\, who has learned from and performed with some of the great traditional musicians of the last generations. Currently based in Berlin\, he is bringing this legacy to European audiences\, telling stories and sharing his American culture that goes much deeper than fast food and baseball. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event will be mixed SEATED and  STANDING to allow for some dancing. THERE WILL BE SPACE FOR THOSE WISHING TO BUY A TICKET ON THE DOOR ** \n\n\n\n A reggae takeover at The Lost ARC with live music from Pembrokeshire’s Lost Roots and vinyl selections courtesy of Dubbin DJ’s Earthdoctor and Sir Lord Crasher \n\n\n\nLost Roots blend folk\, roots and dub to create their signature high-vibe West Coast sound. Lilting folk melodies meet deep bass lines and warm dub-laced grooves\, creating a powerful sound with a unique reggae twist!  These guys were a real hit at last years Reggae Weekender and played a blinder as opening act on the Saturday to really get the place warmed up. They are touring in support of their new album and deserve the chance to shine as headliners at The Lost ARC. \n\n\n\nDubbin is a long-running mid Wales’ reggae night with its roots in Llanidloes. DJs Earthdoctor and Sir Lord Crasher share their deep love for the music and that authentic vinyl sound wherever they pitch up. \n\n\n\nLes ‘Earthdoctor’ first got into reggae – both British and Jamaican artists – in the late 70s and has been in love with it ever since. First catching his attention were Aswad\, Steel Pulse\, Culture and Bob Marley & The Wailers\, soon followed by the discovery of a whole host of Jamaican artists – who had too easily been missed living in rural  Wales! DJing since the early 80s\, he has promoted regular reggae/dub nights  as part of  Dragon Collective and was also resident DJ for several years at the weekly ‘Blues & Roots’ nights at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. In the late 90s / early 00s he worked with live dub act Zion Train\, both as a regular support DJ at their gigs\, and doing the promo work for their record labels. On this night\, expect some uplifting roots\, digidub and plenty of steppers! \n\n\n\n\nSir Lord Crasher began DJing ska and reggae in Bristol in the 90s\, and hooked up with legendary ska band Smoke Like a Fish on moving to Mid Wales in the early 2000s. On putting together a small but chunky sound system he went on to form Authentic Dance Nights and collaborate with Stack 4 Sound Systems on Vinyl Vibe … at the time the UK’s only all-vinyl DJ festival. Now mainly playing Roots and Harmony style with conscious messages of peace\, love and unity at local events and festivals\, including Shambala and Cliff Top Reggae Party. \n\n\n\n\nThis event will be mostly STANDING\, with some seating available on a first-come basis on ground floor and balcony. Unmissable. \n\n\n\nFoghorn Stringband is the present day shining gold standard for American stringband music.  With eight albums\, thousands of shows and over a decade of touring under their belts\, it’s no surprise they have two entirely new generations of old-time musicians following their lead. Through all of this\, they’ve never let the music grow cold; instead they’ve been steadily proving that American Roots music is a never-ending well of inspiration. \n\n\n\nToday Foghorn Stringband features the intertwining harmonies of founding members\, Stephen “Sammy” Lind and Caleb Klauder along with powerhouse vocalists\, Reeb Willms and Nadine Landry\, all of whom bring a wealth of songs\, instruments and traditions making them festival favourites from coast to coast and around the globe. On Stage they gather around one microphone\, balancing their music on the fly\, and playing with an intense\, fiery abandon. \n\n\n\nTo Foghorn\, this music is as relevant today as it was a century ago.  They see themselves not as revivalists\, but as curators and ardent fans\, and their music is a celebration of these roots.  From their origins in Portland Oregon’s vibrant underground roots music scene in the late 90s and early 00s\, Foghorn have spread the old-time string band gospel all over the world.  Along the way they’ve brought in influences and inspirations from many travels and late-night jam sessions.
