April 3 @ 7:30 pm – 11:30 pm
London-based Akolá Tambó shares the ancestral rhythms of bullerengue, a drum-fueled Afro-Colombian music and dance tradition born from resistance.
Their trance-inducing performances inspire radical joy and connection, inviting audiences to rediscover their roots through the heartbeat of the drum.
The name Akolá Tambó – meaning “remember the drum”- reflects their mission to honour tradition and the transformative power of rhythm.
We are working in collaboration with Sonic Sounds for this event, with support from DJs Derw Tha Damaja & Andy Sonics to keep you dancing before and after the band. We are grateful to Noson Allan / Night Out for their support.
This event will be mixed SEATED and STANDING room, with room to dance. Anyone with accessibility concerns is welcome to call the venue to discuss.
