“With guttural bass lines, skronking sax, freeform guitar riffs and tribal drums, improvised jazzmetal never sounded so dangerous, healthy, fresh and essential… consider me healed!”
DJ Ed Steelefox
The Plague Doctors Cure All herald a hot, delirious evening of monstrous grooves, intense energy, powerhouse playing. An electric band with jazz/prog/funk rock influences.
Virulent, sweaty and definitely contagious!
A totally improvised performance from four musicians sharing the same passion for this music with its raw, liberated expression; their creative and impressive technical abilities achieve a symbiosis rarely witnessed. Complex music with raw rhythms which demand much jumping around.
The band comprises Lyndon Owen on Tenor and Soprano saxophones and EWI; Liam Lee-Hines on Electric Bass; Will Cass on Guitars and Andy Goodall on Drums.
“This is a band with the potential to reach out beyond the usual jazz and improv demographic … although an improvising group the music of the Plague Doctors has a power and immediacy that should also appeal to adventurous rock listeners.”
