Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances out of the band’s control, Tapestri have had to cancel their scheduled gig with us tomorrow night (28th April).
*Ticket holders will be refunded automatically, and we aim to reschedule a gig with the band as soon as possible

Tapestri is a band sparked by a chance meeting between Welsh singer-songwriters Lowri Evans and Sarah Zyborska (SERA) at Festival Interceltique de Lorient in the summer of 2019 where they were both performing as solo artists at the Welsh Pavilion.

Fuelled by their passion for folk and Americana music and the desire to form a bilingual female-fronted band, they soon after started carving out songs that take their musical colours from a broad palette that includes Americana, Roots, Folk and Country. Their voices instantly found a connection and developed a harmonious sound, likened to that of sibling duos. They then developed their unique sound and introduced Lee Mason (guitar) and Jake Newman (bass) to the live line up.

Tapestri – Arbed dy Gariad

Sarah and Lowri had been performing as solo artists for a number of years, performing across Wales, the UK and internationally and played on national and international radio. Between them they have been championed on BBC 6 Music, Horizons, BBC Radio 2, performed everywhere from Greenman, Underneath the Stars and Festival Number 6; from Wales to Europe to America.

As a newly formed band in 2019 and based at opposite ends of Wales, (Sarah on Anglesey and Lowri in Pembrokeshire) the pair continued to develop their vision for Tapestri throughout the pandemic, making plans and recording remotely. As soon as they could meet in person, they were back at it and soon had written their album songs.

Lowri and Sarah have a special connection that has grown through the songs they have written and the vision they have for Tapestri and women in music. They were inspired by The Highwomen, the US ‘supergroup’ featuring Brandi Carlile and Amanda Shires, who formed as a response to the lack of representation of women artists on country music radio and festivals.

“There is some true magic captured here with two voices in perfect harmony. If you’re a fan of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young or First Aid Kit you’re going to love this”
