South Walian musician Rhodri Davies is now based in Australia and performs as Hylif. This month he re-visits his homeland, launching his new single, ‘Y Gadair Trydanol’.
Hylif is an impressive solo performer of innovative and exploratory indie electro pop, well worth checking out whilst he is back in Wales!
Supporting the Welsh Aussie is an Aussie Welshman: accomplished indie-pop singer/songwriter Ffredi Blino – Originally from Brisbane, but now based in Llanidloes.
Ffredi’s genre-bending single, ‘Honolulu’ was recently featured by Cerys Matthews on BBC 6 Music and his embrace of the Welsh language saw tracks from his debut album, ‘The Dishwasher Tapes’ supported by BBC Radio Cymru.
Joining the Australian and Welsh ‘antipole’ will be up-and-coming Newtown based blues-rock band, Black Market. Brothers Liam and Tim, whose latest single ‘Pop Machine’ has received airplay on BBC Radio Wales, will be adding a dynamic and exciting twist to the evening with their high-powered performance.
As it’s Friday, wood-fired pizza will be available ’til 9pm from The Lost ARC café… Great music and great food, what’s not to love?!
