We are currently crowd-funding for a heating system for the venue based around a water-source heat pump.

This system uses almost 100% renewable energy to provide heating and hot water for the building. The cost of installing such a system is around £35,000 and we are aiming to raise a large part of that through crowd-funding. In return for investment in the project, we have loads of great rewards on offer, including ticket deals for future events.

The system is linked to a government backed ‘renewable heat incentive’ which means that not only do we get heating and hot water, but over the lifetime of the system (20 years+) we get a payment for every unit of heat energy we create. Over 20 years this has potential to add up to almost twice the initial install cost, giving us a small income to invest in the arts!
