Drawing from alt-country, bluegrass and the folk canon of an ‘old, weird America’, Rainy Day Woman play sparse, unhurried folk music. Originally from Exmouth, Devon, the duo are currently based in Bristol and have been playing together for 8 years, using rich vocal harmonies, acoustic guitars, banjo and mandolin.

In 2019 they were finalists in Purbeck Valley Folk Festival’s ‘Purbeck Rising’ competition and played their first Australian tour, including a night at Sydney’s Humph Hall.

They have self released two EPs, Gallows Green (2018) and Home (2020). Recorded live and acoustic and without effects or affectation, these releases intend to capture the immediacy of making music with people you love.

They have recently signed to Pair O’Legs Records and are currently on tour in support of their debut single with the label, Little Bird.

Support from wonderful instrumental guitarist and rising star Toby Hay.

As this event falls on a Friday night fresh, wood-fired pizza will be available from The Lost ARC café until 9pm.
